LAMDA Examination Classes

London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) are globally recognised qualifications in communication and performance. It is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding organisations who have been offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years. Our students excel in public speaking, verse and prose and acting. Many of our students use their LAMDA training and qualifications to shine in schools, aid school assessments and enhance their CVs. In addition, many use them to support scholarship applications, in which we have a fantastic success rate in past students gaining scholarship places in the top schools in the UK.

LAMDA is an accredited awarding body of Ofqual. Communication and Performance Examinations at Level 3 are recognised within the UCAS tariff for UK University entrance.

The Academy offers Introductory classes for those aged 6-8 to learn new skills while having fun, and the main Grade classes for those 9 + to develop their approach to acting, characterisation and speaking skills whilst working towards their exams. We have a track record of exceptional exam results with a 100% pass rate.

In our group classes we focus on the Verse & Prose and Acting Syllabi. We work towards two exams per Academic year moving up one Grade per year. Our exams take place January and the other in July.

Should you wish to stop classes at The Academy we require written confirmation and you will be liable for the total term fee.
Duke of Edinburgh
Did you know that you can use your LAMDA lessons and exam preparation time for the skills section of your Duke of Edinburgh award? You can even set yourself the goal of passing the exam at the end of it. Check with your DofE Leader before you start to ensure it meets the requirements for your chosen level.
